Big Bear Audio has released the MP1 and MP1+ studio reference preamplifiers.
Created from the ground up using the highest level of electronics with a illuminated front panel, the units’ signal can be recalled path by installing optional DIYRE (DIY Recording Equipment) colour cards (pluggable analogue circuit blocks) into an accessible card slot to radically transform the tone of the preamp. The DIYRE range currently includes more than 20 available modules – including British and American console topologies, FET compressor, Tube Saturation, Tape Delay, Cassette Tone and Overdrive guitar pedal emulations.
Big Bear Audio MP1+ is Big Bear’s flagship product with the same features as MP1, upgraded with an additional Lundahl LL1517 output transformer and ELMA stepped attenuator for easily recallability.
