Arturia has expanded its library of available effects with the release of the FX Collection 2 production suite.

According to the manufacturer, ‘FX Collection is an inspiring suite of plug-ins combining the analogue warmth of vintage effects with the creative flexibility of modern audio enhancers, putting exceptional studio-quality sound in the hands of musicians and producers of all styles and abilities’.

Spanning classic analogue compressors to contemporary reverbs, each plug-in has been designed to support professional DAW recording mixing and mastering. The new release increased the number of processors on offer from 15 to 22 plug-ins, including Bus Force, Comp Diode-609, Phaser Bi-Tron, Chorus Jun-6.

Among the effects added and improved are Tape-201, which now has multiple preamp options – no preamp, the original Roland RE-201 preamp, and a newly-modelled Germanium preamp for ‘signature crunch’.

Every title in FX Collection 2 works with Native Kontrol Standard for a fluid workflow alongside other virtual instruments and effects, but retains the same intuitive preset browser as V Collection, offering streamlined browsing, filtering and saving of favourite presets.
