Fuse Audio Labs has announced VRev-140 a ‘vibrant’ reverb plug-in clearly inspired by EMT 140 plate and expected to ‘duly deliver the rich and complex response that the fifties-vintage studio icon is known for’. In addition, the plug-in brings functional add-ons allowing universal usage and augmented creative choices.
Thanks to its smooth timbre and plate-specific density, VRev-140 is an appropriate tool with which to enhance vocal, guitar, or drum tracks. More extreme settings makes the resultant synthetic-sounding aspect of the plate a source of inspiring effects on many different sources.
The plug-in’s sonic signature includes a fully gain compensated preamp section and expanded decay time setting of up to 32s, substantially improving upon the original hardware unit’s 5s maximum. An additional three-band EQ is key to embedding the processed signals into a mix, along with the with and balance settings, plus an associated pre-delay of up to 500ms.
‘The original 140 is certainly an amazing piece of studio equipment, but beyond the sheer scale of its dimensions, the magic lies in its inspiring sound, really responsible for making many great recordings over the decades sound the way that they do,’ says Fuse Audio Labs CEO, Reimund Dratwa. ‘But best of all, the VRev-140 vintage plate reverb plug-in holds true to its heritage – users will be far from disappointed.’
VRev-140 is available at a regular price of US$59 directly from the dedicated Fuse Audio web page.
