The latest in Waves Audio’s Nx line of plug-ins, Nx Germano Studios New York joins Abbey Road Studio 3, Ocean Way Nashville and Chris Lord-Alge’s Mix LA in emulating the acoustics of revered mixing studios.
Nx Germano Studios brings the A-list acoustics of Studio 1 at Germano Studios (originally The Hit Factory) to headphones with a faithful model of the control room and its custom stereo and surround monitoring systems, based on precision acoustic measurements combined with Waves Nx spatial technology through its use of channel crosstalk, inter-aural delays (ITD), filters (ILD), room reflections and head motion tracking.
Stereo monitors include Yamaha NS10 close-fields, a custom Exigy S412G four-way system with dual 18-inch subwoofers and Germano Acoustics A2s. Surround 5.1 mixes can be made on headphones, using five emaulated Germano Acoustics A2 loudspeakers and subwoofer.
Nx Germano Studios supports head tracking via webcam or the Waves Nx Head Tracker Bluetooth device for an enhanced, realistic 3D spatial effect.
