After working closely with Eventide, Merging has announced the official release of the Eventide Blackhole plug-in for Anubis.

The Eventide Blackhole is a classic Eventide reverb effect, capable of producing huge spaces and out-of-this-world soundscapes and a favourite of sound designers. While most reverb models are constrained by the physics of the real world, Eventide’s Blackhole steps outside to allow virtual spaces that could never exist in reality (or at least the one we inhabit) to be created. At large sizes, its soft attack and harmonic tails allow it to shine on guitars, strings and pads. At smaller sizes, those same qualities can add an angelic sheen to vocals or turn a simple drum track into an otherworldly rhythm section. More extreme parameters open the door to fantastical and disturbing realms.

Blackhole is designed with a user interface that places emphasis on performance control and playability. Specifically, the knobs are easily adjusted with an up-and-down motion of the finger, and all controls produce a smooth change in the audio, allowing glitchless shaping of the effect as desired.

Included with Blackhole is a set of 18 Anubis Snapshots presets.
