Slate Digital has added Transient Shaper to its Virtual Mix Rack audio plug-in.
Transient Shaper is a versatile sound-shaping software tool with unique features that include its Focus sliders and Listen button. Though it lives inside the Virtual Mix Rack, it -in isn’t simply for fans of analogue production – Transient Shaper’s intuitive and powerful functionality offers an ease of use designed to resonate with producers, engineers, sound designers and artists of all skill levels. Users new to music creation and audio production will find themselves able to sculpt sounds with a minimal learning curve.
Transient Shaper comprises three processing sections that allow adjustment of both the transient and sustain of the input signal and routing of a specific signal path to the output. The plug-in is also equipped with two ‘focus’ sliders that allow isolation of the specific frequencies to shape – for tightening drums, boosting bass hits, taming string instrument peaks and gluing sounds together.
‘Where some of our other tools like Storch Filter and Murda Melodies are designed for creative exploration, Transient Shaper is a simple yet essential tool that packs a serious punch, giving both new and experienced creators extensive sound shaping control,’ says Slate Digital CEO, John Bastianelli.
