Neyrinck Audio has announced the V-90 Symphonic plug-in, a ‘meticulously crafted emulation capturing the revered symphonic audio effect found in the original Yamaha SPX 90 muti-effects processor hardware.
Dedicated to faithfully reproducing the symphonic sound that has graced numerous studios and effect set-ups since the debut of the SPX 90 in 1985, the Neyrinck Audio V-90 Symphonic plug-in brings a broad, lush and expansive stereo effect to both mono and stereo sources. Primarily recognised for its application as a chorus effect, it stands out by having no undesirable wobbling or detuned artifacts, while introducing a captivating, sweeping texture. Boasting zero added latency, the V-90 Symphonic plug-in is suitable for real-time tracking and monitoring.
The plug-in supports AAX DSP, ensuring seamless integration with Pro Tools Hybrid tracks and Avid Live Sound systems for audio production applications.
‘Profiling and modelling the symphonic effect was very difficult,’ says Neyrinck founder, Paul Neyrinck. ‘I had to write custom signal analysis software to accurately understand its complex LFO modulation scheme. I also discovered that later hardware with higher sample rates such as the SPX 900/990 don’t sweep as wide as the original SPX 90. V-90 Symphonic faithfully reproduces the original SPX 90 symphonic effect at all DAW sample rates.’
Offering compatibility with AU, VST, VST3, AAX Native and AAX DSP plug-in formats, the V-90 Symphonic is now available for purchase via the Neyrinck online store.
