Neve has expanded its range of desktop units with the 88C – a dual desktop dynamics processor featuring the dynamics section from the flagship 88R console promising ‘iconic sound quality, versatile control and legendary character’ for studios of any size.

Neve 88C desktop dynamics processor Introduced in the 1970s with the 50 Series consoles, Neve’s VCA compressors set a new standard for precise and versatile compression, using technology that became a cornerstone of Neve consoles and featuring prominently in the VR and 88R series. The same engineering now lies behind the 88C, presenting this ‘signature’ console sound in a compact and accessible format.

Building on this pedigree, the Neve 88R dynamics section has won recognition for warm, smooth and musical compression. Now reimagined in the 88C, it comes with adaptive attack, release and ratio control over transient response and overall dynamics. Presented as a ‘true workhorse’, it delivers consistent performance in even the most demanding situations.

The 88C captures the subtle yet distinctive character of the 88R’s dynamics processor, delivering processing valued by high-end studios including Abbey Road, Air Studios, Fox and Capitol Studios.

The 88R dynamics section is now offered in a dual, compact desktop format, powered via modern USB-C for portability. The 88C brings studio-quality performance to home studiostoand smaller setups, all in a sleek, bus-powered design. The 88C is offered as a 'perfect partner' to the 88M dual mic preamp.
