Revered by producers and engineers for their sound and design, the original Focusrite Red 2 equaliser and Red 3 compressor are prized pieces of outboard. With the release of the Red 2 & Red 3 Plug-in Suite, Focusrite has made plug-ins equivalents available – the first Focusrite plug-ins to include AAX support, making them compatible with Pro Tools 10 and 11.

The Red 2 EQ is a six-band design, with high/low-pass filters, high/low frequency shelves, fully parametric low-mid, and high-mid frequency bands. The Red 3 compressor is a VCA compressor design, excellent for control of drums, bass, vocals and acoustic instruments.

Registered Scarlett, Saffire and Forte users can download the new plug-ins for free, adding to their Focusrite software bundles.

The Red 2 & Red 3 Plug-in Suite joins Focusrite's AU, VST, and RTAS compatible Midnight and Scarlett Plug-in Suites, making Focusrite interfaces ideally suited for all major audio software. For its introduction, it is bundled with all Focusrite Scarlett, Saffire, Forte and Clarett audio interfaces.
