Building on its earlier two-channel MXW neXt 2 system, Shure has launched Microflex Wireless neXt 4 and neXt 8 (MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8) as four and eight channel options. Scalable to a variety of meeting and classroom environments, Sure claims MXW neXt now sets the standard for best-in-class wireless. MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 are designed for spaces of all sizes requiring from four up to 1601wireless microphones and connect directly to video conferencing systems for situations with remote presenters.
‘MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 are excellent solutions for those seeking highly flexible and easy-to-set-up wireless systems that enhance collaboration and interactivity,’ says Senior Manager of Product Management, Ralf Klinnert. ‘Now, with new four- and eight-channel systems, A/V integrators and IT managers have access to expanded capabilities for medium to extra-large spaces. MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 feature upgraded product components and increased software connectivity to simplify workflows while continuing to deliver exceptional audio performance.’
As part of the MXW neXt portfolio, MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 feature a combination of IntelliMix DSP capabilities and comprehensive I/O, including USB, Dante networked audio, and analogue audio.
Mics pair in seconds, streamlining complex installation workflows out-of-the-box. Users can set up MXW neXt through Designer 6 Software integration, and easily redesign end-to-end workflows and create intuitive system layouts.
For streamlined control of Shure networked audio devices, MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 are connected to ShureCloud, Shure’s cloud-enabled centralised management platform. With ShureCloud, A/V integrators and IT managers gain real-time remote access to manage, monitor, remotely update and control devices from anywhere, ensuring flexibility and convenience.
Redesigned microphones, including a new gooseneck transmitter, offer increased battery life of up to 39 hours of operating time to guarantee all-day use without the need for frequent swap-outs. With quick and easy integration thanks to the base unit that includes advanced onboard IntelliMix DSP, MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 can be network-installed or used as a standalone system.
MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 include Shure Audio Encryption, based on the AES-256 algorithm that offers a robust and protected audio signal. The AES-256 encryption algorithm has been adopted as one of the safest forms of network protection, and uses a user-configured passphrase on all devices. This built-in security ensures audio content is protected among all Microflex devices in the room, giving both end users and integrators peace of mind.
MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 offer a choice of four redesigned wireless microphone form factors, each with an LCD high-resolution matrix display for monitoring battery life, connection quality and more. The MXW1X Bodypack, MXW2X Handheld (available with a choice of mic capsules), MXW6X Boundary or MXW8X Gooseneck can be pre-configured to handle multiple applications with ease. MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 feature a new space-saving Gooseneck charger that can charge up to eight microphones each, and chargers can now be daisy-chained via ethernet connection to the associated wireless access point.
Shure’s MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 connects with videoconferencing platforms – and the boundary microphone option is Certified for Microsoft Teams.
