The Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) Consortium has eased Russian-speaking broadcasters into its fold with the release of a guide to the DRM standard in Russian.
‘The Russian Users’ Guide is much more than just a translation of the English version,’ says Albert Waal (DRM Executive Board Member and Technical Director at RFmondial GmbH), who is responsibel for the guide’s production. ‘The guide comes with last minute updates and focuses on the aspects of DRM which have the greatest relevance for the Russian broadcasters and industry.’
Beyond promoting DRM as a fully open, global, energy and spectrum-efficient digital radio standard, the guide provides all the necessary information for broadcasters, regulators and the industry to instigate the implementation of the DRM platform.
The document is to be made freely available, via the DRM website.
