Supplied by Scrub, the Soho-based division of HHB Communications, the suites are already in use on Scramble’s typically busy workload of sound design, gaming audio, pop promos, broadcast post and TV and radio commercials, including projects for T-Mobile, Dell, Pokerstars, Argos and WH Smith. ‘With this upgrade, Scramble has significantly enhanced its capacity, while simultaneously positioning itself at the leading edge of audio postproduction,’ says Scrub Sales Manager Tina Wallace ‘Having worked with Scramble since the very dawn of Scrub, we think of them as family. They have invested significantly in Icon now, as they did in its early days, and it’s great to see that choice work out so well for their business.’
Located in the heart of Soho, Scrub is a specialist division of HHB Communications, focused on supplying the audio equipment needs of the postproduction industry. ‘We are fortunate that Scrub is located within shouting distance of Scramble, so they can be here within minutes if required,’ says Marketing Director Donna Head. ‘But more than anything, we like the fact that Scrub understands our operational needs and the high expectations of our clients.’
Scrub has been Scramble’s audio equipment supplier of choice since its move to Portland Mews. ‘We have a long and happy relationship with Scrub going back to when we purchased our first Pro Tools system seven years ago,’ Head adds. ‘Not only are they our sole supplier for all Pro Tools equipment, but we also use Scrub’s expert knowledge to source all our third-party hardware and software.’
Alongside the new suites, Scramble has also upgraded the HP platforms in its three existing Icon D-Control rooms to run Pro Tools 8, ensuring the smooth-running and easy exchange of sessions throughout the facility.
