German pro audio connectivity specialist DirectOut has announced two remote software releases – the first is an update to its Andiamo remote (v2.6) for the Andiamo range of AD/DA Madi converters, and the second is new remote software for the Ma2chBox.XL reference-class Madi/AES3 headphone amplifier.
Andiamo Remote v2.6 enables 4FS capability, such that all Andiamo devices now support sample rates from 44.1kHz up to 192kHz. It also offers improved level control with output gain/level/trim for every channel, as well as a Mute All Channels function, and level metering of all analogue and AES I/O via a bargraph display with peak hold. A new labelling feature enables individual labelling of all input and output channels. The new software also enables AD/DA calibration in 0.1dB increments for precise adjustment of AD and DA converter reference levels.
Ma2chBox.XL Remote is new software enhancing the feature set of the compact monitor device with the addition of a powerful 194 x 196 routing matrix.
‘The improvements made with the latest Andiamo firmware and remote software (in particular the implementation of even higher sample rate support) make an already excellent set of products even better still in terms of audio quality and performance, while the Ma2chBox.XL Remote software effectively opens up a whole new area of operation for the product,’ says Direct Out Software Developer, Claudio Becker-Foss. ‘Ma2chBox.XL now combines high quality Madi monitoring, line checking and routing in one compact device.’
