Standard Audio StretchStandard Audio has released Stretch, a 500-series multi-band dynamics module.

Following the Level-Or 500-series compressor (a 500-series recreation of the classic Level-Loc), Stretch takes its inspiration from various noise reduction units from the 1970s and 1980s when in ‘encode’ mode. It offers four separate frequency bands configured in seven different combinations which are accessible via the Filter/Compression push-button. A Mix Control allows for parallel processing by re-injecting the unprocessed signal back in and varying the levels.

Key features:

· Four individually processed frequency bands
          (LF Band: 20Hz-110Hz)
          (MF Band: 110Hz-3kHz)
          (HF3 Band: 3kHz-20kHz)
          (HF9 Band: 9kHz-20kHz)
· Filter/Compression pushbutton: cycles through seven different filter combinations.
· Orange HPF and LPF front panel LEDs indicate different combinations.
· 100% analogue signal path.
· High quality filter capacitors for filter stages.
· Hard-wired relay bypass circuit.
· Filter/Compression LED indicates when any of the active filter stages has reached 2dB of compression
· Input Control allows setting of gain structure for desired amount of compression.
· Output Control sets output level to DAW/tape without altering the mix blend.
· Mix Control blends the Stretch and un-processed input signal.

The unit is available in the UK through KMR Audio.
