Canadian audio equipment manufacturer Simaudio has released the Moon 3500MP solid-state, two-channel mic preamplifier.
Known for high-end audiophile products, the Moon 3500MP represents the company’s first venure into pro audio. The Simaudio design team ‘worked with key industry contacts’ on the design and used its own five-axis CNC in its manufacture, which also calls on its own printed circuit board assembly, faceplate painting, silk-screening and assembly.
Key features:
· Two fully independent audio channels on separate printed circuit boards.
· AC-coupled and transformerless design.
· Gain range of 8dB-66dB with -3.5dB trim.
· Metal film resistors and polypropylene film capacitors.
· Power supply uses two ultra-low noise toroidal transformers in an isolated enclosure.
· Swiss-made 24-position gain potentiometers featuring gold-plated contacts and thin surface-mounted film resistors with 1% tolerances.
