Yamaha has made its NIO Dante audio interfaces available separately from the Nuage system, and at a lower price point.
NIO Dante-based I/O interfaces support mastering-grade audio and offer flexibility for use in a variety of audio I/O applications. Each housed in a 2U-high rack chassis, the range comprises the NIO500-A8D8 (8 channels AES/8 channels analogue I/O), NIO500-A16 (16 channels analogue I/O) and NIO500-D16 (16 channels AES I/O). Simple to integrate with existing hardware, the units allow the configuration of analogue and digital I/O to be built, with up to 128 channels on a single network cable and near-zero latency monitoring as standard.
‘The NIO series is a series of cost-effective, but exceptional quality standalone audio interfaces. When used with Steinberg’s Nuendo DAW they deliver truly integrated monitoring and they can be used with any system where high-quality conversion to and from Dante is needed,’ says Yamaha Nuage specialist Christoph Stepan.
