Extending its EV-Innovation family of installation loudspeakers at InfoComm 2010, Electro-Voice has added EVA, EVF and EVH models enhanced by performance of the DVX and SMX woofers and new DH7N neodymium compression driver.
The EVA-1151D single 15-inch subwoofer and EVA-2151D dual 15-inch subwoofer use the high-power, 500W (continuous, 2kW peak) DVX3159A woofer. They can be configured to provide a cardioid directional pattern to help reduce feedback and control dispersion. The new EVA-SG2 and EVA-EG2 grids allow EVA subwoofers to be arrayed with full-range elements. The EVA-CG coupler grid allows single subwoofers to be flown behind a full-range array, or to configure dual subs in front with a single sub behind for cardioid arrays.
The EVF-1122D/XX 12-inch and EVF-1152D/XX 15-inch full-range systems augment the currently available ‘S’ full-range systems, using the DVX3121A (12-inch) and DVX3151A (15-inch) woofers. The ‘D’ full-range systems also feature the new DH7N large-format compression driver with 3-inch diaphragm and neodymium magnetic structure. These components provide improved dynamic performance, including reduced distortion and power compression. Seven coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40° x 30° (/43) to 120° x 60° (/126). All horns are rotatable.
The EVF-2121S dual 12-inch low-frequency loudspeaker joins the current EVF-1121S single 12-inch system, providing additional low-frequency output for the full-range systems from a system with high power capacity and maximum output ability (800W/129dB continuous). EVF-2151D dual 15-inch front-load subwoofer, meanwhile, uses two of the new DVX3159A woofers, and joins the currently available EVF-1181S single 18-inch subwoofer system, extending the response of the full-range systems to 43Hz (3dB), with high power capacity and maximum output (1kW/131dB continuous).
The EVH-1152D/XX 15-inch horn-loaded full-range systems augment the ‘S’ full-range systems, and feature the new DH7N large-format compression driver with 3-inch diaphragm and neodymium magnetic structure. This provides improved dynamic performance, including reduced distortion and power compression. Six coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40° x 30° (/43) to 90° x 90° (/99), with directivity control to 500Hz. All high-frequency horns and the mid-frequency waveguides are rotatable.
