TrueLine V5WorxAudio Technologies has announced the release of the TrueLine V5 Ultra-Compact Line Array.

Designed for both speech and music reproduction from a compact form factor, the loudspeaker is intended for use in fixed installations, as a portable loudspeaker system for corporate A/V, and front fill applications. It incorporates a medium format 1-inch exit compression driver coupled to a proprietary FlatWave Former (wave shaping device) as well as dual 5-inch cone transducers coupled to an Acoustic Intergrading Module (AIM) to minimise cone filtering across the operating range.

The speaker has a 120° symmetrical horizontal coverage pattern and a 10° vertical dispersion pattern set in 1° increments. It has a 16Ω passive impedance for flexibility in multiple box set-ups driven by a common amplifier. This reduces the number of amplifiers necessary to power the system and, hence, the cost of power the amplifiers. It also minimises the issues of where to house those power amplifiers.

The enclosure is of multi-ply Baltic Birch and is heavily braced. Protecting it is a multi-layered, polyurea finish that is available in black or white. A 16-guage, perforated, cloth-backed, powder coated steel grille with a high transmission ratio protects the transducer complement. Similarly, the V5’s custom designed, black anodised, 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum TrueAim rigging hardware allows the desired coverage area to be addressed in flown and ground-stack modes.

‘The V5 is a tremendously versatile, remarkably compact loudspeaker system that is capable of addressing a myriad of diverse sound reinforcement applications from permanent installations to portable PA to front fill applications,’ says Hugh Sarvis, WorxAudio Technologies’ CEO and Director of Engineering. ‘The inclusion of Ease Focus 2 array software with full GLL balloons further completes the package. I am extremely confident the V5 has the feature set today’s most demanding audio professionals require.’
