Grund Audio Design’s STP-8/STP-5S top box/subwoofer loudspeaker combination offers a compact, portable sound reinforcement system for DJs, bands, houses of worship and similar applications.

Designed to be pole mounted over the STP-5S, the STP-8 uses an 8-inch LF transducer mated with a 1-inch compression driver in a two-way design rated at 300W (programme) at 8Ω. The enclosure includes a pole cup and incorporates a pair of handles to ensure easy transport.

Delivering up to 500W (programme) at 8Ω, the STP-5S subwoofer uses a horn-loaded 15-inch transducer in a compact enclosure. Like the STP-8, the STP-5S subwoofer incorporates a pair of handles for easy transport.

As a system, the pairing offers a frequency response from 50Hz-18kHz.

Both the Grund Audio Design STP-8 and STP-5S loudspeaker enclosures are manufactured in the US and feature multi-layer pine wood that is solidly braced for cabinet rigidity. The exteriors of each enclosure are covered with an easy care, durable black carpet finish that looks great, is easy to clean, and retains its appearance for years.

The loudspeakers will be available individually or as a system. The STP-8 carries a US$299 MSRP (individual), while the STP-5S has a US$799.00 MSRP. Pricing for the STP-8 / STP-5S loudspeaker system (two of each model plus mounting poles) will be at a reduced combined price of US$2,199.
