DAS Audio has launched a new series of line array systems called the Event Series.
Designed for small- to medium-level sound reinforcement applications, these are aimed at both permanent installations and mobile systems.
Comprising three models – two line arrays and a companion bass system – the Event series include the 208A and the 210A three-way powered line arrays in double 8-inch and double 10-inch configurations respectively. The DAS loudspeaker units have been teamed up with a single M-75 compression driver and purpose-designed injected aluminum high-frequency waveguide. Both line arrays are powered by a three-channel class-D amplifier, which provides 360W (peak)/channel. The amplifier’s rear panel includes Neutrik XLR and powerCon connectors, status LEDs and DAS Easy-DSPTM for set-up.
The Event series includes a twin 18-inch companion subwoofer, which uses DAS LX series long-excursion loudspeakers. Designed to accompany the 208A and 210A tops, the front-loaded system is powered by a 3.6kW (peak) class-D amplifier and delivers a maximum peak SPL of 140dB. The amplifier has a Cardioid Preset mode, which offers specific signal treatment for easy set-up of pairs of systems in cardioid subwoofer applications. The system includes balanced inputs (A-B) with stereo filtered output connections for satellite systems. The variable crossover ranges from 100Hz-160Hz and can be defeated to offer stereo loop-thru connections. A gain control and polarity reverse feature increase user control over the system.
All cabinets are constructed from professional grade Baltic Birch plywood and are finished using DAS ISO-flex paint. Steel rigging hardware is included on the line arrays systems for safe and precise flying. A convenient pin storage receptacle keeps pins from getting lost.
A range of accessories allowing the cabinets to be used on standmounts or safely stacked on subwoofers. Transport dollies and protective covers are available for all models.
