Designed to be easy to transport, quick to set up, HK Audio’s Lucas Nano 600 claims to be the first PA that can be deployed as a single column or stereo system, and to offer the best sound-to-size ratio on the market.
In its mono configuration, the column delivers 130dB maximum SPL (the same level as the HK Audio Lucas line. The conventional 2.1 stereo set-up can be extended to a Twin Set by linking the two mono columns with one subwoofer each and two stacked satellites to configure a full-range stereo uet-up.
The satellites use 1-inch tweeters equipped with the HK Audio’s newly developed MultiCell Transformer, and claims to match the audio performance of a larger CD horn. The subwoofer features an internal bracing system that was developed using simulations much like those employed by aircraft and automobile designers to model vibrations.
The system is aimed at unplugged one-man/woman bands, DJs, vocalists, guitarists and keyboardists. This multi-option system is also intended to attract MCs and announcers, as well as restaurants and function rooms where a flexible PA is preferable to an installed system.
