European pro audio manufacturer Heritage Audio has announced its R.A.M. 1000 professional Bluetooth monitor controller for self-recording musicians and mid-sized studios.
Because Bluetooth is widely regarded as a studio standard, the R.A.M. 1000 offers itself as a convenient desktop unit offers APTX, APTX LL, AAC, APTX HD and SBC codec options to ensure high-quality auidio transmission possible. There is also an option to switch the routing from Output 1 to whatever soundcard/audio interface is connected to R.A.M. 1000 for recording.
Operation of R.A.M. 1000’s input and output options – two pairs of +4dBu balanced analogue inputs (one also being -10dBV selectable) and two stereo outputs available on both balanced XLR and quarter-inch connections – is via three Input buttons and two Output buttons, and a 64-step Marconi-type Master Level knob (a gold-plated relay ladder attenuation providing resolution of 64dB in 3dB steps) as found on high-end, large-format consoles.
Two Input Level LEDs indicate total input for the left and right audio channels, while Mono, Mute and Dim (-20dB) buttons keep these options easily within reach. A high-quality headphone output is available to assist critical listening decisions. The R.A.M. 1000 employs a very high current drive in a diamond buffer configuration that is able to drive all headphones to very high levels.
R.A.M. 1000 is shipping and available via Heritage Audio’s network of dealers with an SSP of €499 (including VAT) in the EU, and an MAP of US$499, US distribution being handled via RAD Distribution.
