Amate Audio has announced the Xcellence X14FD ultra-compact PA/stage monitor system with Dante connectivity.
Loaded with a single low-distortion, high power handling 14-inch coaxial driver, the new loudspeaker claims an LF response equivalent to a 15-inch driver and the MF resolution of a 12-inch driver with the fidelity and power capabilities of a large-diaphragm HF compression driver.
Amate Audio’s latest version Active+ onboard power and DSP control platform, delivers 1kW/500W class-D bi-amplification delivering 129dB continuous (132dB peak) SPL across a 48Hz-20kHz frequency range.
Operation is via a colour touchscreen DSP loudspeaker system management, with advanced FIR filters, system presets, Dante audio networking and Ethernet/Wi-Fi remote control.
The loudspeaker enclosure is constructed of multilayer Baltic birch plywood with a highly resistant black Polyurea coating and protective rubber profiles. With its asymmetrical trapezoidal form factor the X14FD can be hung, flown, stacked or pole mounted in FOH PA applications; or used floor-standing on its horizontal axis as a high-performance stage monitor.
